As we come to an end of another chapter in our digital lives, this by far has been well worth it. I can go back as far as the very first assignment opening a gmail account to bookmarking man I really enjoyed this class it taught me a whole lot on ways to implement technology in the classroom.
First, I going to develop a webpage for the Physical Education department through our school website. It will have information pertaining to assignments, rules and regulations, uniform order sheet, grading policy, course syllabus and much more, this will help cut down on making hundreds of copies to pass out to students now they'll be responsible for viewing this information online and at their own convenience.
Secondly, my wikispace need some attention I understand how it work, it just need to be dress up a little. This will be a site where students can go to and get makeup work to improve on their grade, but most importantly it will give a student the resource to view other sites related to Physical Education. Also, importing some real life action photos from class to display students efforts at hand and to see themselves having fun.
Lastly, I going to continue to work to better myself to become more than a novice but an expert at this. Everything from podcasting, blogging, tweeting, starting a website on my own becoming versatile in all areas of technology that's where I want to end up. Using the Web 2.0 tools will increase my awareness for the digital age. I have a vision I need a little push to help me write it and make it plain.
This sounds like a great and practical action plan. Our P.E. department has their own site and they have really liked having it to explain procedures, uniforms, and grading. They posted pictures of the ACE winners, tournament champs, and mile run all stars. Students were thrilled to see their pictures.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a solid plan! You could also include a spot on your blog or wiki for teachers, because I know I look to my P.E. teacher for fitness tips. Since I am already following your blog, that would help me out some too :D
ReplyDeleteIt's heartening to know it wasn't that hard for you to become tech savvy. I think other teachers could absolutely benefit from your journey if you choose to keep all your blog posts active after this class.
You're well on your way to becoming Tech-Savy. It's great that your school will have a P.E webpage. That's another way of home-school communication.
ReplyDeleteAs Jessie said, I too think that other teachers would benefit from your experience with Web 2.0 tools and this class. I hope that you keep working toward your goal of becoming an expert.
