RSS FeEdS
Dealing with RSS has taught me to appreciate the usage of technology and how to engage in all its resources. This has really helped me in managing some of my favorite sites. By categorizing all my sites into one place this cuts my browsing time in half especially when it allows you to add subscriptions to Google Reader. I believe Google in the next couple of years will be the cornerstone of the internet. They have elevated the way one use the internet with all the different tools. Using RSS feeds in my content area would help teachers grow in technology as a Educator any use of technology has its benefits. We now live in digital age where our students are online daily. Through webcams and social networking sites students are more equipped with the tools to be more productive digitally. We must continue to steer them in the right direction to succeed. Some of the sites I subscribed to are sites I view alot professionally and or leisurely. At the moment the sites that were added are ESPN, Stronger-Team Blog, AAHPERD, CoachingULive which is basketball related and Youtube which is probably the most used site by anyone. There are more I like and I'll update them later.

The downside the the internet, I followed your AAHPERD link and saw a dance camp for teachers that ties instruction to movement and got super excited thinking, awesome I need to be a part of this. The camp is in Seattle, Washington and I think plane tickets are too high to fly out next week. I guess I only saw Washington. But very cool website, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLesson learned, always read the place carefully, skimming doesn't work well on websites sometimes, don't assume it's around the corner.....lol
I forgot about looking into AAHPERD for dance. I find that it is easier to search for website related to physical education. Dance education has been around for years, but it is still a growing subject area.
